OTTAWA-- Bloxx Inc., the Web filter specialist, today announced that it has appointed Interwork Technologies Inc., a value add distributor with over 12 years expertise distributing Data Security technologies, as an Authorized Bloxx Distributor. Under the terms of the agreement Interwork Technologies will market and distribute Bloxx’s third-generation Internet filtering appliances to security resellers in Canada and the USA through the channel. The appointment will dramatically enhance Bloxx’s presence and extends the availability of the company’s products and services in North America.
“We have spent a considerable amount of time and effort evaluating many of the leading Web filtering solutions and have concluded that Bloxx provides one of the most technically advanced solutions in the data security market today,” said Ken Lewis, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Interwork Technologies.
“Bloxx’s third-generation Tru-View Web filtering technology combined with their no cost-per-user appliance pricing model delivers best in class performance at a price which will be a very attractive proposition for resellers and end users across the US and Canadian channels. This is a great opportunity for resellers to add a leading Web security solution to their security product portfolio which will generate higher GM from a vendor who is 100% committed to the channel” added Lewis.
“We are delighted to have concluded this agreement with one of the leading data security distributors in North America,” said Eamonn Doyle, President at Bloxx. “We look forward to working closely with the team at Interwork to quickly establish and grow a strong reseller network in North America.”
“Bloxx has had a phenomenal sales year, despite the economic crisis, with 40% sales growth in the last year and the highest sales month ever recorded in March. Interwork Technologies has recognised this success and the major benefits of partnering with the fastest growing Web filtering company,” concludes Doyle.
Bloxx is a provider of third-generation Web filtering solutions that uses Tru-View Technology; a method of Web content filtering that uses analytical intelligence to take content identification up to the next level. Based on each organization’s usage rules and policy, its appliance-based Tru-View Technology solution performs real-time contextual analysis of each requested Web page and classifies access requests into pre-defined categories. The solution then makes a rules-based decision on whether to grant or deny access to the requested Web page, thus enabling organizations to proactively manage users’ access to Web content.
About Bloxx Tru-View Technology
Bloxx Tru-View Technology uses internationally patent pending technology to analyse and categorise Web pages quicker and more accurately than other Web filters which use manual URL classification and keyword scoring alone.
Using advanced intelligence identification and analysis techniques, Tru-View Technology provides instant classification of Web content as soon as it is accessed, even if the content has not been seen by anyone before.
An estimated 1.5 million users already benefit from enhanced security and performance with low administration and no cost per user charges. Additional protection is provided via anti-virus, anti-spyware and anti-phishing functionality.
